To AUSANGATE’S LAGOONS BY ATV, first, at 5 am, we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start a 3-4-hour ride toward the village of Tinki. There, we change our means of transport and later continue by ATV towards near reservoir which is about 45 minutes far away. At this spot, we begin hiking to the astonishing lagoons of Ausangate.
As this route takes around 5 hours, we can see various lagoons on the way. Also, we might observe and appreciate many birds, alpacas, llamas, vizcachas, and, if we are lucky, Andean condors. At 1 pm (approximately), we are served lunch, typical for this zone.
At around 2 pm, we reach the village of Pacchanta giving us an opportunity to enjoy its thermal baths which are perfect to relax body muscles. We finish the trip riding back to Cusco arriving there at approximately 7 pm.

- 5 am – a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.
- 3-4-hour ride toward the village of Tinki.
- 45-minutes of ATV ride.
- Trekking for 5 hours towards the lagoons around Mt Ausangate.
- 1 pm – lunch typical for this high Andean zone.
- 2 pm – arrival to the Pacchanta village.
- Visit the local0 thermal baths.
- Transport back to Cusco.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Please note! The trek takes place at an altitude of between 4,850 meters (15,910 ft) and 5,000 meters (16,400 ft) above sea level! For this reason, it is very important that every participant gets acclimatized in Cusco (or, another place with an altitude of over 3,000 m/9,840 ft) for at least 3 days.
- We recommend you to take any medicine against Soroche (high altitude sickness) or/and coca leaves/coca sweets.
- Every participant needs to be in good physical and mental shape to do the trek!
- To maximize a nice experience of the trek, we advise you to practice a small exercise prior to this trip.
- If you suffer from any health problem, we recommend you consult with your doctor in advance.
- Please keep yourself hydrated during the trip!
- In case of rays, please switch off every electronic device!

- Necessary stuff for a 1-day trip (We recommend a backpack of up to 5 kg of your belongings some of which might be carried by an extra horse.);
