EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM – UMASBAMBA
CUSCO – UMASBAMBA – CUSCO
In the EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM – UMASBAMBA tour, in the first place, our community guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 am, and then board our vehicle and go to the community of Umasbamba (Also, on the way we will appreciate part of the natural landscape, as well as some communities), until reaching Umasbamba, which is 1:20 hours from the city of Cusco. Likewise, when we arrive in the community, the residents will receive us dressed in their colorful costumes, typical of the area. Then, they will direct us to the presentation room, where the organized community will give us mate de muña “aromatic plant of the area” that is used for acclimatization, after we will go to the plantations of the community members, and we will participate in cultivation, hilling or harvest of products according to the season. We will have a tasting of Andean products such as potatoes, occa, añu, beans, etc. And in the same way, our Andean lunch includes a starter, a main dish, and a drink, all prepared with Andean products from the area. Then we will have a demonstration of guinea pigs and their varieties and the demonstration of weaving, preparation of chicha “sacred drink of the Incas” and among other activities.
Finally, in the afternoon, we say goodbye to our host family and we will return to the city of Cusco on our private transport.
