FISHING AT THE LAGOON – NEAR AUSANGATE – CUSCO (3,399 M) – CUSIPATA (3,319 M) – SIBINACOCHA LAGOON (4,873 M) – CUSCO

To Fishing Lagoon near Ausangate first, at 4:30, we pick you up from your hotel to head for the village of Cusipata (3,319 m). There, we have a buffet breakfast at around 6 am at the restaurant LA MONTANA, located on the shores of the Vilcanota River. At 6:40 am, we get on our vehicle again and ride for 3 hours towards the Sibinacocha Lagoon (4,873 m). Upon arrival, we walk to the lagoon while we are given some advice about fishing. Then, we start with the activity while observing the magic of the lagoon and its surrounding sceneries. Later, our Cook prepares us lunch based on our catch. At 1:30 pm, we are back to Cusco City arriving there at around 6 pm. Before we tell you goodbye, we drop you off at your hotel. The end of our service.

• 4:30 am – a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.
• Transport by private vehicle to the village Cusipata (3,319 m).
• 6 am – buffet breakfast at the restaurant LA MONTANA in Cusipata.
• 6:40 am – continuation of the ride for 3 more hours till the Sibinacocha Lagoon (4,873 m).
• Walk to the lagoon.
• Short briefing about how to do fishing.
• Start the fishing activity while observing the stunning lagoon and its surrounding landscape.
• Lunch based on our catch.
• 1:30 pm – ride back to Cusco City.
• 6 pm – arrival to the city.
• Drop off at your hotel.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Please note! The trip takes place at an altitude of 4,873 meters (15,988 ft) above sea level! For this reason, it is very important that every participant gets acclimatized in Cusco (or, another place with an altitude of over 3,000 m/9,840 ft) for at least 3 days.
• We recommend you to take any medicine against Soroche (high altitude sickness) or/and coca leaves/coca sweets.
• Every participant needs to be in a good physical and mental shape to do the trip.
• Please keep yourself hydrated during the trip!.
• In case of rays, please switch off every electronic device!.

CONDITIONS AND SEASONS:

• The number of participants: there is not a minimum of participants required.
• Please note: The tour starts and ends in Cusco!
• 24-hour availability: It is possible to book the tour at any time of the day.
• Suitable season: All year round without any limit. However, you should know that January is the peak of the rainy season and snow so the weather is very cold. If you like to know about the present season conditions, please inquire us a couple of days in advance.
• Please be careful with the environment (all garbage must be taken back to Cusco)!
