KAYAKING ON THE APURIMAC RIVER
Day 1: Cusco – Huallpachaca Bridge – “La Palta”
For the tour KAYAKING ON APURIMAC RIVER, First of all, pick up from your hotel in the city of Cusco in our mobility. Then, we will go to the north of the city for 4 hours by bus, appreciating the beautiful agricultural landscapes of the mountains and we will arrive at the Huallpachaca Bridge located at 2,900m of altitude. Day 2: “La Palta” – “La Playa”
We will start the day with a delicious breakfast at 07:30 a.m. each one of us will help to set up our camp, to begin navigating with the difficulty of classes III and IV for a time of 6 hours, but we will stop for lunch, a short rest. Then we will continue to our next stop at the next campsite at a place called “La Playa”, a beautiful place on the river bank. Also, we will have hot tea and dinner, after spending the night in an open sky full of stars.
Day 3 KAYAKING ON APURIMAC RIVER: “La Playa” – Cusco
We will start with a good breakfast at 08:00 a.m. to have the right energy because we will need this third day. Because we will march in V class which is faster and riskier but we will put the previous ones into practice. Then, we will start rafting at 09:00 a.m. It will be enjoyed for a time of 4 hours with a lot of adrenaline and excitement, end of the adventure and return to the city of Cusco.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – Huallpachaca Bridge – “La Palta”
- First, I pick you up from your hotel in Cusco.
- Second, transfer by bus from Cusco – Apurímac River.
- Then, I arrive in 4 hours at the Huallpachaca bridge, where we started the Rafting.
- Safety instructions by the guide.
- You practice before you start.
- Start of rafting for 3 hours level II and III.
- In the same way, in the afternoon camping in a place called “La Palta”.
- So, taste hot tea and dinner.
- Finally, spend the night around a campfire.
Day 2: “La Palta” – “La Playa”

- Second, pick up our camp.
- Start of rafting with the difficulty of III and IV for 6 hours.
- Stop for lunch for 2 hours.
- Then, continue with rafting to “La Playa”.
- Also, enjoy hot tea and dinner.
- Finally, spend the night recharging your batteries.
Day 3 KAYAKING ON APURIMAC RIVER: “La Playa” – Cusco
- Start with a good breakfast as we will lose a lot of energy.
- Then the rafting begins at 09:00 a.m. with the difficulty of V.
- Travel time for 4 hours.
- Also, lunch at the end of the rafting.
- Finally, return to the city of Cusco.
