DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA

The Peru Luxury Tour begins with our welcome at Lima´s airport. Then our staff takes you to your hotel aint the modern district of Miraflores lying near the Pacific ocean shores.

Afterwards, you are taking to a Lima City Tour observing the historic centre of the so-called “City of the Kings”. The city has been declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. So you visit the main square (Plaza Mayor) with its main attractions to later continue to the Convent of Santo Domingo, an architectural jewel dating back to the 16th century. You learn there about the history of two of Lima´s patrons: Santa Rosa de Lima (St. Rose of Lima) and San Martín de Porras (St. Martin of Porras).

Afterwards, we leave the historic centre to visit the modern part of the city. Passing by the exclusive district of San Isidro, the new financial heart of the city, we get to Miraflores. We walk through the famous park “Parque del Amor” there to reach the shores of the Pacific Ocean enjoying lovely its views. Furthermore, we leave for the Larco Museum, where one can see a private collection of pre-Columbian era items that are more than 3,000 years old. Return to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 2: LIMA – CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY

You are served breakfast in your hotel and then you get ready for check-out. As we pick you up from the hotel and transport you back to Lima´s airport where you board a plane towards Cusco. During this 1 hour and 20-minute flight, you have a chance to observe the majestic Andes from the bird’s perspective. Upon arrival, you are welcomed and picked up by our staff. As the city lies at too high an altitude (3,300 m.a.s.l.), we take you to a beautiful countryside hotel in the lower placed Sacred Valley of the Incas. The hotel is situated in the Lamay Village where you get acclimatized to the altitude.

By having a short rest, you get ready for an adventure experience, which means you spend a few hours horseback riding. You ride through some local farms observing various ecosystems of the breathtaking valley starting at the foothill of the Andean mountain range. In the evening, we rest in the countryside having a bonfire next to the hotel listening to our Tour Guide telling stories about mysteries of the Sacred Valley. Finally, we are served dinner and go to sleep.

DAY 3 PERU LUXURY TOUR: VISIT  HUCHUY QOSQO

Today´s experience begins with breakfast and a morning horseback ride to the community of Huchuy Qosqo – a native village located in the heights of the Sacred Valley. Firstly, we are welcomed by its inhabitants and secondly, we participate in their daily life activities. For instance, we experience a Pachamama (Mother Earth) offering ceremony. Then, we learn to prepare “Chicha” (a popular Andean drink) and help farming native potatoes. During a break, we are served a traditional lunch. Later, we observe and partake in the spinning and dyeing of fabrics.

Our Tour Guide takes us to the archaeological remains of Huchuy Qosqo (“Little Cusco” in Quechua native language) in the afternoon hours. We spend the night in the village´s lodge conveniently implemented for our comfort.

DAY 4 PERU LUXURI TOUR: MACHU PICCHU

After breakfast in the sacred valley, we will move to the train station, we will take the most luxurious train with an excellent quality service, which will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, to the town of Machu Picchu.

On the way you will be accompanied by typical dances on board the train, with a service of food and drinks that you want, all passing through a landscape of high jungle between the mountains until we reach Aguas Calientes, which then together with our guide We will go to Machu Picchu.

The highest expression of Inca architecture, where it will be part of the history of this majestic setting, in our sight we can see beautiful constructions divided into 2 sectors by a stone wall, the agricultural sector, where you can see the agricultural terraces that overlook the valley and the urban sector, where the temple of the sun, the temple of the chosen women, the temple of the condor and three windows, each with finely crafted architecture, is found, all imposing before the eyes of man. Our guide will explain each thing in detail that you want, taking you through history to the past, also visiting the Inca bridge, it will depend on you to spend all day at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, return to the City of Cusco.

DAY 5: CITY TOUR – CHOCOLATE MUSEUM

After breakfast, we go for a Cusco City Tour. So you learn about its historic centre, declared to be a World Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. We visit Qorikancha – the Golden Temple of the Incas with the Colonial Spanish construction of Santo Domingo Temple on the top. There, you can appreciate the fine work that the Incas made in stones. Our second stop is at Plaza de Armas (the main square) where we visit the Cathedral of Cusco. One can find their delicate works of carved wood and impressive altars. Afterwards, we continue to see the Company of Jesus Church to later move to the Santa Catalina Convent and its museum. So we have a chance to see an exhibition of the museum reflecting the environment and customs of the conventual life of its inhabitants (nuns) throughout the centuries.

As everybody is surely hungry, our last steps lead us to the Chocolate Museum (“Choco Museo”) where have an opportunity to taste many delicious products made with cocoa. Later on, we are taken back to the hotel to have a rest.

DAY 6: TRADITIONAL MARKET-WALK CUSCO MUSEUMS

We have prepared a special day for you because you take ceramics classes given by an expert craftsman. During the classes, you learn special Andean and Colonial Era techniques. Later in the afternoon, we go for a walk through Cusco City. In the evening, we invite you for a dinner folklore show. We take you back to the hotel at the end of the day to have a sleep.

DAY 7 PERU LUXURY TOUR: CUSCO – LIMA

In the morning after breakfast, you do check-out from your hotel because you fly back to Lima today. When you land in the capital, our staff, who await you there, transport you to your hotel (the Miraflores district). You leave your luggage there and get ready for a very popular program – a Shopping Tour.  In the evening, we come to see and listen to the Magical Circuit of Water (located in the Reserve Park), an icon of the city and an undisputed symbol of the recovery of the public spaces of Lima. The circuit holds a Guinness Record for the “World’s Largest Fountain Complex in a Public Park”. Its 13 fountains surprise by a wonderful spectacle combining water, light and colour. You spend the last night in the hotel.

DAY 8. LIMA – DESTINATION CITY

You have breakfast in the hostel. Then, our staff accompany you to Lima´s airport to say goodbye.

  • Boarding a bus taking us uphill to Machu Picchu.

  • Climb to the Machu Picchu Mountain, a mountain situated above the Inca citadal accessible by a 1.5-hour climb. Here you are able to take those postcard-like photos of Machu Picchu. It costs USD 15 extra. Please note that the booking needs to be done at least 1 month in advance due to a limited number of tickets!
  • Wayna Picchu – a mountain situated above the Inca citadal accessible by the 45-minute climb. It serves to take some panoramic photos of Machu Picchu. It is an extra USD 25. Please note that the booking needs to be done at least 3 months in advance due to a limited number of entrances!
  • Sun Gate (the end of the traditional Inca Trail) and the Inca Bridge. These two spots enable you to see Machu Picchu from another point of view and take some pictures. There is no need for special booking, no admission fee is required. However, we need you to advise us in advance if you wish to do these alternatives as it requires a minimum of extra 2 hours!
