RESPONSIBILITIES
X TRAVEL PERU is a travel agency that acts as an intermediary agent and tour operator .
X TRAVEL PERU has no control over companies that are not included in the program offered or purchased by the user, so we will not assume any responsibility for those services requested by the user , as we will not be responsible in case of accidents , injury, loss, damage, delay or any other inconvenience, to fulfill or perform any tourist service offered.
X TRAVEL PERU is not liable for any illness, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, which may endanger the health or safety of the passenger during the development of the contracted tour or that may imply any limitation and impediment to provide our tourist services . Therefore, the Company will NOT recognize any claim or refund for the items mentioned above. We therefore request you to inform us prior to contract our services, about any limitation of this nature, in order to recommend services that address these existing impediments.
X TRAVEL PERU reserves the right to accept or reject any application for reservation of any passenger, any tour or tourist package or to cancel or change a tourist package if the circumstances so warrant. The application of any requested service to our company will be understood as agreement to these conditions.
PRICES AND RATES
All prices and fees are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice until payment has been made and proper confirmation of availability.
Prices and rates for the tour packages are per person based on a double occupancy in standard room in all the hotels and includes services, transfers, excursions as indicated, specialized guides, admission tickets and airline tickets (unless the different conditions are specified). Prices and rates do not include extras, gratuities, airport taxes. (unless expressly indicated otherwise), excess luggage or other travel not specified in the program.
ITINERARY
The itineraries are planned very carefully, although, for operational reasons, it may be necessary to change the order of activities in the itinerary or the specified route, and though such cases are rare, in general the itinerary should be treated only as a BASIC GUIDE .
The company reserves the right to, without notice, change the order of the excursions or trips due to weather conditions, river water levels, arrival or departure time of airplanes, buses or trains, or by any other relevant reason, which will warranty the best development of the trip.
RESERVATIONS
All reservations are subject to confirmation until we receive full payment for the services. If you have reached an agreement between the company and the customer, the reservation will be confirmed with a 50% partial payment for any service negotiable that X PERU TRAVEL offers.
Payment for our services can only be done as indicated in our methods of payment. Prices and rates (fees) may change without notice, until the services have been fully paid.
TOURIST PACKAGES
Full payment of a tourist package must be completed at least 15 days in advance(or prior consultation) of the day that is set as the starting date of the tourist package for individual passengers and 25 days at least before the date of arrival for groups (unless expressly agreed otherwise). Package tours reservations can only be confirmed when full payment has been confirmed for services (unless otherwise agreed). If you have reached an agreement between the company and the customer, the reservation will be confirmed with a partial payment set out in the agreement.
Payment for our services can only be done as indicated in our methods of payment. Once the package tour booking is confirmed to the customer by e-mail with a confirmation code, this is guaranteed, except cancellation for reasons stated under the headline of responsibilities which are totally unrelated to the company. The company reserves the right to substitute hotels of the same category or higher in tour packages offered. Meals included in the tour packages are specified in the programs. In regard to cancellations, returns and refunds will be governed by these terms and conditions stipulated in our Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy.
HOTELS (not included in tourist package)
X TRAVEL PERU works with hotels of different categories, so you can apply these reservations with us, giving you a discount in all the services.
Hotel reservations can only be confirmed when full payment has been confirmed for the services (unless otherwise agreed). If you have reached a specific agreement between the company and the customer, the reservation will be confirmed with a partial payment.
Payments for hotel services can only be done as indicated in our methods of payment. Once the hotel reservation is confirmed the customer by e-mail with a confirmation code, this is guaranteed, except cancellation for reasons stated in Responsibilities which are totally unrelated to the company. The customer will only need to appear in person at the hotel with the confirmation code and identify with your passport (in case of foreigners) or your national identity card (in case of Peru). If breakfast or another meal is included in the hotel rate offered, this will be clearly specified. Passenger shall comply with the established schedules for consumption of these meals according to hotel policy. Any extra consumption that is not clearly specified as included must be paid directly by the passenger and will be his responsibility or the hotel responsibility for anything consumed that has not been paid. In regard to cancellations, returns and refunds, they will be governed by the terms and conditions set forth in the Cancellation, Refund & Return Policies.
AIR TICKETS (not included in tour package)
X TRAVEL PERU also offers domestic and international flight tickets to have a complete and enjoyable trip.
Prices and rates for air tickets are subject to changes without previous notice until they have been issued. Timeline, itineraries, flight numbers and schedule times of these tickets are subject to change until the date of travel given by the airline.
All reservations of airline tickets are subject to confirmation until full receipt of full payment for the ticket and until they have been issued. Air Tickets issued for transport services do not allow refunds or rerouting. However, a date change will be accepted until 7 days prior to the original flight date if it has been taken a fee that allows it, upon payment of a penalty (subject to change without notice). The service operator may modify the present conditions without notice.
For flight electronic tickets (e-tickets) it will not be necessary to show them , it is only necessary that the passengers identify with their passport (in case of foreigners) or their national identity card (if they are Peruvian residents).
The airlines serve meals or snacks according to their own policies. Passengers are responsible to consume, or not. Any extra consumption that is not clearly specified as included must be paid directly by the passenger and shall be the sole responsibility of them and the airline for any extra consumption that is not canceled.
BUS TIKETS
Prices and rates of bus tickets are subject to changes without previous notice until they have been issued. Timetables, routes and schedules of these tickets are subject to change until the travel date by the company operating the buses.
All bus ticket reservations are subject to confirmation until getting full payment and until the tickets have been issued. Tickets issued for bus transportation do not allow refunds, rerouting or date change. The service operator may modify the present conditions without notice. The bus operators serve their meals or snacks according to their own policies. Passengers are responsible to consume it, or not.
Any extra consumption that is not clearly specified as included must be paid directly by the passengers and shall be the sole responsibility of them and the bus operator for any consumption that is not canceled.
TRANPORTATION SERVICE IN TRAIN (not included in tour package)
Prices and rates for train tickets are subject to changes without previous notice until they have been issued. Timetables, routes and schedules of these tickets are subject to change by the train operator PERURAIL and INKA RAIL until the travel date.
All train tickets reservations are subject to confirmation until getting full payment and until the tickets have been issued. Tickets issued for train transportation service do not allow refunds, rerouting or date change. The service operator may modify the present conditions without notice. Train operators serve their meals or snacks according to their own policies. Passengers are responsible to consume it, or not.
Any extra consumption that is not clearly specified as included must be paid directly by the passengers and shall be the sole responsibility of them and the train operator for any extra consumption that is not canceled.
PAYMENTS POLICY
Our payment policy, in case of individual passengers, requires that our services are completely canceled 15 days before the passenger’s arrival, unless different terms are specified. For groups, our payment policy requires that our services must be fully canceled 25 days before the group arrival including the list of passengers, unless different terms are specified. Any changes to the agreed services or contracting new services once started the trip will be paid directly by the passenger or may, if the agency agrees, be charged to a credit card.

Unless you have a special written agreement, all services requested must be paid as follows:

DOCUMENTATIONS
The passenger is responsible for having a valid passport or any other travel documents and visas according to their nationality accepted by the law government of the country they are visiting. To make reservations it will be needed to have the following information for each passenger: Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality, Age, Sex. It is recommended to report allergies, illnesses, passenger conditions, each passenger characteristics, food preferences, etc..
Baggage
The weight limit accepted in domestic air flights and ground service is 20 kg. (44 lbs.), Free of extra charge. The passengers are responsible for their luggage and any claim for loss or theft will be done directly to the transport operator.
RESPONSIBILITIES
If a service cannot be provided by any error, fault or failure directly attributed to the service operator, this will try to do their best to provide a solution of equal value to the service that is not provided. In case it cannot be provided by an equivalent service , it will be refunded with the real price of the service excluding any consequential, indirect cost or any other costs associated with not performing this service. Any complaint about any service that is not provided during the trip will be accepted only if this is done in writing within 7 days after completion of the trip. In regard to cancellations, returns and refunds they will be governed by the terms and conditions set forth in the Cancellation, Refund & Return Policies.
CANCELLATION , RETURN & REFUND POLICIES
Individual Passengers
If a cancellation request is received until and including 45 days before the arrival date of the passenger, return or refund will be subject to a penalty of 5% of the total cost for administrative costs, out of the financial expenses associated with the cost of bank transfer, credit card commission and any other expenses and / or costs associated with the return. Exceptions are specified below.
If a cancellation request is received until and including 30 days before the arrival date of the passengers, return or refund is subject to a 25% cancellation fee, out of the financial costs associated with the cost of bank transfer, credit card commission and any other expenses and / or costs associated with refunding. Exceptions are specified below.
If a cancellation is received 29-15 days before arrival date of the passengers, return or refund is subject to a 50% cancellation fee, out of the financial expenses associated with the cost of the bank transfer, credit card fee and any other costs and / or cost associated with the refund. Exceptions are specified below.
No return or refund will be given if the cancellation request is received up to or less than 14 days before arrival date of the passenger. Also, no return or refund will be granted for no-show of (a) passenger (s) or cancellation while traveling. No refund or any refund for portions of tour packages or unused stay.
In the case of tourist package cancellation including air transportation service, bus and / or train already issued, no return or refund will be granted for these services. In case, the air transportation, bus and / or train service is cancelled and are already issued, no refund or any return for these services will be granted.
Certain services may be interrupted or canceled due to climate conditions, reasons of force majeure, riots, etc.., Or others beyond the control of the hotels, airlines or providers of the same agency. No return or refund will be issued as a result of such interruptions or cancellations beyond our control.
Group of Passengers
If a cancellation request is received until and including 60 days before the arrival date of the passengers, return or refund will be subject to a penalty of 5% of the total cost for administrative costs, out of the financial expenses associated with the bank transfer cost, credit card commission and any other expenses and / or costs associated with the refund. Exceptions are specified below.
If a cancellation request is received until and including 45 days before the arrival date of the passengers, return or refund is subject to a 50% cancellation fee, out of the financial costs associated with the cost of transferring bank, credit card commission and any other expenses and / or costs associated with the return. Exceptions are specified below.
If a cancellation is received 44-30 days before arrival date of the passengers, return or refund is subject to a 75% cancellation fee, out of the financial expenses associated with the cost of the bank transfer, credit card commission and any other costs and / or costs associated with the refund. Exceptions are specified below.
No return or refund will be given if the cancellation request is received up to or less than 29 days before arrival date of the passengers. Also, no return or refund will be granted for no/show of a (the) passenger (s) or cancellation while traveling.
No refund or any refund for portions of tour packages or unused stay. In the case of tour packages cancellation that includes air transportation , bus and / or train service that is already issued, no return or refund will be granted for these services. In case of cancellation of air transportation, bus and / or train service that is already issued, no return or refund will be granted for these services. Exceptions
In the case of cancellation of only Inca Trail service no refund will be granted, given the characteristics of this service. In the case of cancellation of tour packages that include train service to Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and Puno no refund will be granted, given the characteristics of this service. In the case of train service cancellation to Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and Puno no refund will be granted, given the characteristics of this service. In the case of cancellation of tour packages that include accommodation at the following hotels: Monasterio, Sanctuary Lodge, Park Plaza, Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel no return or refund for accommodation at these hotels is granted. In the case of cancellation of the accommodation service at the following hotels: Monasterio, Sanctuary Lodge, Park Plaza & Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel no return or refund for accommodation at these hotels will be given.
NOTE: Some tour providers have more rigorous cancellation policies concerning to groups. Thus, in group reservations exceeding 10 passengers, providers reserve the right to impose a penalty of 25% up to 90 days before the travel date and 100% cancellation penalty for a cancellation up to 45 days before travel date.
During high season, our company reserves the right to change our cancellation policies if our providers give any other penalties apart from those listed above.
X TRAVEL S.A.C. has no responsibility for situations beyond events that are beyond our control, such as passenger illness, pregnancy, drunkenness and / or natural disasters, social upheaval, political situations, etc. Events that are beyond our control and affect the normal development of the programs. “
